Kia is preparing to enter the compact car market with the K4, a model slated for a 2026 release, as the South Korean automaker seeks to bolster its position in a highly competitive segment. Details emerging from automotive specialist Abdul Rahman Al-Khalidi indicate the base-level K4 will be priced around $19,730 USD in Saudi Arabia, positioning it as a value-focused option. The new model, previewed in reports following a post on X, offers a range of standard features and a modest powertrain, signaling Kia’s strategic approach to attracting cost-conscious consumers.
Kia’s upcoming K4 model, slated for release in 2026, will feature a starting price of approximately 74,000 Saudi Riyal (approximately $19,730 USD), according to automotive specialist Abdul Rahman Al-Khalidi.
The base-level “standard” trim of the K4 will be powered by a 1.6-liter engine producing 123 horsepower, paired with a six-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive. Al-Khalidi detailed the vehicle’s specifications in a recent post on X.
Exterior features of the 2026 K4 standard model include LED headlights, four front parking sensors, fog lights, halogen turn signals integrated into the side mirrors, and 16-inch alloy wheels. The vehicle also boasts three rear parking sensors and distinctive rear lighting.
Inside, the K4 standard trim will offer cloth upholstery, power windows, a child safety seat anchor, power-adjustable side mirrors, cruise control, and audio system controls integrated into the steering wheel. Bluetooth connectivity, cup holders, and a center console armrest are also included.
The introduction of the K4 represents Kia’s continued efforts to expand its presence in the competitive compact car segment, a key battleground for global automakers. The pricing and features suggest Kia is aiming for a value-oriented offering in the region.
