Los Angeles County Opens All 251 Vote Centers for Congressional Districting Election
Los Angeles County has opened all 251 of its vote centers today, November 1, 2025, for the statewide special election focused on redrawing California’s congressional districts.
The 140 vote centers that opened today add to the 111 sites established earlier for the November 4th election. All locations will be open daily from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., offering in-person voting, voter registration, and a convenient drop-off point for vote-by-mail ballots. The county previously mailed postcards to all registered voters detailing the nearest 11-day and four-day vote centers.
“With all L.A. County Vote Centers open, voters have convenient options to cast their ballot early,” said Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk Dean C. Logan in a statement. “Avoid the rush, make a plan to vote early this weekend or Monday at a location that’s convenient for you.” Voters can find a complete list and interactive map of Vote Center locations, including GPS tracking, at locator.lavote.gov.
Eligible citizens who missed the voter registration deadline can still participate by completing a “conditional” voter registration at any vote center and casting a ballot in this election. This special election is crucial as the outcome will determine how California’s 52 congressional districts are shaped for the next decade; learn more about the redistricting process from the California Citizens Redistricting Commission. Officials encourage voters to take advantage of early voting options to avoid potential lines on Election Day.
