Gáldar‘s Plaza de Santiago was filled with music and holiday cheer this past Saturday as the group La Trova presented their “Noche Latina en Navidad” concert to a delighted crowd. The performance, a unique fusion of customary Latin rhythms and beloved Christmas carols, drew residents and visitors alike to the December 21st event.La trova’s show built upon the momentum of their October premiere, offering a festive cultural experience as part of a broader series of Christmas events planned throughout the municipality.

The performance uniquely blended new songs from their show, which premiered in October, with a festive selection of holiday classics that delighted the audience. Latin music continues to be a dominant force in global entertainment, and this concert showcased its versatility.
The evening kicked off with a magical rendition of “El arbolito,” followed by the energetic “Canto a la vida” and a surprising take on “Santa Claus is Coming to Town.”
Fan favorites like “Tacones rojos,” “Moliendo café,” and “Montón de estrellas” were interwoven with holiday staples such as “Let it snow,” “White Christmas,” and “Navidad guanche.” From bolero to bachata, chachachá to merengue – and sprinkled with iconic Latin hits – the setlist created a unique atmosphere under the lights of Gáldar, with the audience enjoying every moment.
Staying true to their signature “trovera philosophy,” La Trova engaged the audience throughout the nearly 90-minute performance, creating a night of fun for all ages.
