Latvia is gearing up for a thrilling winter motorsports season as the LaMSF Motocross Commission formally approved regulations for the 2025/2026 Winter Motocross Championship on November 20, 2025. This season marks a notable development with the unification of Winter Motocross and Skijoring under a single championship banner, aiming to revitalize these sporting traditions [[1]] and [[2]]. The Latvian Motorcycle Federation (lamsf) has partnered with SIA MyTime to ensure high-quality and safe competitions across five rounds nationwide.

On November 20, 2025, the LaMSF Motocross Commission approved the regulations for the 2025/2026 Winter Motocross season.
A partnership has also been formalized with SIA MyTime, the promoter for Winter Motocross, with the goal of preserving and developing Latvia’s traditions in winter motorsports. The agreement ensures high-quality, safe, and engaging competitions while fostering athlete development and regional activity during the winter months. SIA MyTime, recently approved by the Latvian Skijoring Federation to organize skijoring competitions for the 2025/2026 season, has expressed its readiness and initiative to fully organize Winter Motocross as well, combining both sports under a unified banner – the Latvian Championship in Winter Motocross and Skijoring.
Plans are in place to host five competition rounds in various locations throughout Latvia. This combined championship format aims to boost participation and spectator interest in both thrilling winter sports.
