Ellie Voted Off ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ in Latest Elimination

Ellie became the fifth contestant eliminated from this year’s Strictly Come Dancing during today’s results show, November 2, 2025.

The elimination follows a Halloween Week performance that placed Harry Aikines-Aryeetey at the bottom of the leaderboard, prompting a plea from the Gladiators star and his partner Karen Hauer for viewer support. Ultimately, however, it was Ellie who faced the dance-off and received the deciding vote from head judge Shirley Ballas. This marks a return to Ballas having the final say, after a change to the voting system this series saw the casting vote alternating between judges.

Celebrity Traitors star Cat Burns performed on the results show ahead of the dance-off, offering a crossover moment for two popular BBC programs. Meanwhile, speculation continues regarding the future of the show’s hosting duties, with BBC Radio 2 presenter Zoe Ball stating, “I think everyone would like to do that job…There will be queues going around the block,” should an opportunity arise to replace Tess Daly or Claudia Winkleman.

The competition now moves forward with six shows remaining before the final on December 20, including a highly anticipated trip to Blackpool on November 22. Emmerdale star Lewis Cope, who received the first perfect score of the season, has addressed claims of unfair advantage due to his prior dance experience, labeling the accusations “bizarre.”

Officials have confirmed that Shirley Ballas will again hold the casting vote in any future dance-offs.
