The sports world is rallying around Lindsey Vonn after the skiing legend faced a harrowing injury at the Winter Olympics on February 8th. The 41-year-old suffered a severe fall just 13 seconds into her run, prompting concerns about her future in the sport. While now recovering at home, doctors initially considered the possibility of amputating her leg.

Cristiano Ronaldo, one of the biggest names in global sports, has offered a message of support to Vonn, recognizing the incredible challenge she faces. The Portuguese superstar didn’t hesitate to reach out to the American skier with words of motivation.

“Champions are defined not only by the moments they win, but also by those they refuse to give up on. Lindsey, the mountains you’ve conquered are nothing compared to the strength within you,” Ronaldo wrote.

“Keep fighting. Legends always rise again,” Ronaldo concluded.
