Reneé Rapp Surprises Concert Crowd with Girlfriend Towa Bird, Duets with Leon Thomas

Singer and actress Reneé Rapp brought both her girlfriend, Towa Bird, and Grammy-winning artist Leon Thomas onstage during her “Bite Me Tour” show at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, California, yesterday evening.

During the final song of the night, Rapp invited Bird, a fellow singer/songwriter, to join her for a performance of “At Least I’m Hot.” Rapp playfully addressed the stage camera, saying, “How you doing, LA?” before beckoning Bird from the barricade. After a brief duet, Rapp shared a kiss with Bird, and the pair performed with the band. This public display of affection follows nearly two years of dating for the couple, and highlights a growing trend of artists openly celebrating their relationships with fans.

Earlier in the 90-minute show, Rapp performed a duet of Thomas’ hit single “Mutt” with the artist, just weeks before he embarks on his own “Mutts Don’t Heel World Tour.” Rapp explained she simply wanted to hear Thomas perform, noting their shared background in stage and screen performance. She also playfully commented on her father’s attendance, stating, “I don’t really know what that says about him.” Rapp’s theatrical roots were also on display, with nods to her Broadway past, including a dance number during “Why Is She Still Here?” and a dramatic performance of “Poison Poison” while lying atop a grand piano.

Rapp briefly attempted to perform “Not My Fault” from the 2024 “Mean Girls” remake before stopping the song, jokingly declaring, “I quit.
