Manchester United Increasing Playing Time for Young Defender Diego Leon

Manchester United is actively increasing playing opportunities for 18-year-old defender Diego Leon in academy fixtures as he continues to adapt to English football.

Leon arrived at Old Trafford in the summer transfer window following a £3.3million deal, potentially rising to £7m with add-ons, from Paraguayan side Cerro Porteno. He initially impressed coaches during pre-season and has been included in several matchday squads for the senior team by manager Ruben Amorim, appearing against Grimsby Town, Manchester City, Brentford and Sunderland, though he is yet to make his debut.
