Mercedes GLB Hybrid: Prices, Specs & Trims – Italy 2024

Mercedes-Benz has expanded its GLB lineup in Italy with the introduction of a hybrid version, complementing the previously available all-electric model. The German automaker is now offering five hybrid gasoline engines, available across four trim levels: Advanced, Advanced Plus, Premium, and Premium Plus.

Pricing for the latest GLB hybrid models starts at just over €48,000 for the GLB 180 Advanced, rising to €64,998 for the GLB 220 4MATIC Premium Plus. The availability of hybrid options reflects a broader industry trend toward electrification and fuel efficiency.

All versions share a 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine paired with a 22 kW (30 hp) electric motor and an 8G-eDCT automatic transmission. The GLB 180 delivers 136 hp and 200 Nm of torque, while the GLB 200 increases output to 163 hp and 250 Nm, with a 4MATIC all-wheel drive version similarly available. Topping the range is the GLB 220, producing 190 hp and 300 Nm of torque, also offered with and without 4MATIC.

Each GLB comes standard with a comprehensive set of features, regardless of trim level. The MBUX system includes navigation, a 5G communication module, a digital dashboard display, and a central display. Additional standard features include a panoramic sunroof, heated front seats, an easy-pack tailgate, Blind Spot Assist, and a suite of driver assistance systems encompassing DISTRONIC, lane keeping assist, emergency stop function, and a reversing camera.

The base Advanced trim includes LED High Performance headlights and automatic climate control, starting at €48,556 for the GLB 180. An upgrade to Advanced Plus, costing an additional €2,379, adds flush door handles, the Keyless-Go system, a rear armrest, ambient lighting, wireless smartphone charging, and the Mb.Drive Parking Assist system.

Stepping up to the Premium trim, at an additional cost of €5,258, further enhances the package with adjustable rear seats, a Memory Package for the front seats, illuminated door sills, Comfortmatic automatic climate control, and a dedicated display for the front passenger, as well as MBUX Entertainment included for three years. Ambient lighting with logo projection on the exterior mirrors completes the detailed interior.

The range-topping Premium Plus trim is available for a further €7,625. This trim level adds Multibeam LED headlights with a rear light strip, a Burmester 3D Surround Sound System, a head-up display, acoustic and heat-insulating glass, and the Pre-Safe system. The GLB 220 4MATIC Premium Plus exceeds €64,000 in price.

Mercedes-Benz offers extensive customization options for the GLB. Aesthetically, the AMG Line package is available, featuring specific wheels, a spoiler, and sporty details, as is the AMG Line Plus for a more distinctive appearance. Paint options range from pastel shades like Polar White and Aquamint to metallic finishes such as Cosmo Black and Clear Blue, and exclusive Manufaktur options including Alpine Grey, Cosmo Black Magno, and Patagonia Red.

A third row of seats is also available for €1,100 (excluding VAT), increasing the vehicle’s capacity to seven passengers.
