At least four people are dead and more than ten injured following tornadoes that struck the state of Michigan on Friday, authorities report. Governor Gretchen Whitmer has activated an emergency operations center to coordinate rescue efforts.
(Keystone-ATS) One person was killed in Cass County, in the state’s southwest corner, according to the local sheriff, who similarly reported “several injuries.”
Another tornado near Union City, in southern Michigan, resulted in three fatalities and twelve injuries, local station WTVB reported, citing the sheriff’s office.
