Who is someone you consider a hero and why?
When I was younger, I would’ve said my dad — the first man I ever saw, laying the foundation for what it meant to be a man. The high school and college version of me would’ve said my mom, the real MVP. She made sure my siblings and cousins always had what they needed. When it came to me, she went above and beyond, working tirelessly to ensure I had everything to succeed. But since the early days of our courtship, my answer has been the same: Jasmine Katrina Hockett Sweet. I have seen my wife do so many amazing things in the past 15 years. From corporate America to full-time entrepreneurship, Jasmine has excelled at everything she puts her mind to. She’s a caring mother to our daughter Reign and soon-to-be mother of two precious girls. In my opinion, her greatest strength is being a supportive, loving, and patient wife. Jasmine wants nothing but the best for me and our family. Even during our college days, she has pushed me to be the best version of myself. I wouldn’t be the man I am now without Jasmine Sweet.
What are a few of your favorite places in Nashville?
I love my East Nashville neighborhood. You can catch me every Monday and Tuesday at the Margaret Maddox YMCA on the basketball court. You might catch me and my family walking to Hunters Station for an Everbowl or grabbing lunch at bartaco. At least once every Thursday I enjoy time at Cheekwood listening to music with my girls, Jasmine and Reign. And I never have a bad night at Harriet’s on a random night with friends; every DJ is fire.
