North Sumatra Police Chief Irjen Whisnu Hermawan Februanto confirmed the dismissal on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, stating that Kombes Julihan has been temporarily relieved of his duties pending an investigation.
Kombes Famudin, an auditor with the North Sumatra Police’s Inspectorate General, has been appointed as acting head of the internal affairs division during the inquiry. The case highlights the police department’s commitment to addressing internal allegations of wrongdoing.

The investigation was prompted by a TikTok post from user @tan_jhonson 88, detailing claims of extortion allegedly committed by Kombes Julihan. Police officials formed a team to investigate the allegations after the social media post gained attention.
According to Kombes Nanang Masbudhi, the North Sumatra Police’s deputy inspector general, a team is currently being assembled to examine the claims made in the TikTok post, which included complaints from police personnel within the North Sumatra Police jurisdiction.
Kombes Ferry Walintuka, the North Sumatra Police’s head of public relations, stated that the TikTok account that publicized the allegations against Kombes Julihan is anonymous. Despite the anonymity of the account, police will proceed with an examination of the claims to determine their veracity.
