South Korean entertainer Park Na-rae, 40, has been booked by police on charges including assault, following allegations of “gaslighting” behavior toward her former managers.
The Seoul Gangnam Police Station confirmed on December 5th that they received a complaint through the National Petition Center requesting an investigation into Park for alleged offenses including special assault, violations of the Medical Service Act, and the Act on Promotion of Cultural Industry.
The complaint names Park’s mother, Ko Mo, her one-person agency, and unidentified medical professionals and former managers as co-defendants.
Park’s former managers recently foreshadowed a lawsuit seeking damages, alleging instances of assault and improper prescription practices, and have reportedly filed a request with the court to freeze Park’s assets. The case is unfolding as scrutiny intensifies around celebrity-manager dynamics in the Korean entertainment industry.
Further complicating matters, it has come to light that Park’s one-person agency, AN Park, was not registered as a cultural industry planning business, sparking additional controversy.
