Priya Sachdev Honors Late Husband Sunjay Kapur Amid Inheritance Dispute

Priya Sachdev shared a heartfelt video tribute to her late husband, Sunjay Kapur, on his birth anniversary today, October 15, 2025, as a legal battle over his estate continues.

The Instagram post featured family moments, including images of Karisma Kapoor’s children, Samaira and Kiaan, and coincided with an ongoing dispute regarding the validity of Kapur’s will. Sachdev posted a quote from the Bhagavad Gita, stating, “Whatever action a great man performs, others follow… He who lives with purpose and love never perishes.” She continued, “You lived these words without ever needing to speak them. You led with kindness, not command.” Sachdev described feeling her husband’s presence as “quiet strength beside me,” and expressed gratitude for his “eternal love.”

The tribute also included a clip of Kapur himself discussing his values as a father and husband. “I’m here to protect my family,” he said. “I’m here to make sure I pass on the right values to my children and to my family…for honesty, trust, and love and respect.” The inheritance dispute began after Sachdev presented a will, allegedly executed on March 21, at a family meeting on July 30. Karisma Kapoor, acting as legal guardian for her children, has accused Sachdev of forgery, claiming Kapur had previously assured his children of their inheritance, a provision absent from the presented will. This case highlights the complexities of estate planning and family disputes following a death. More information on estate law can be found at the Nolo legal encyclopedia.

Sunjay Kapur, chairman of auto parts manufacturer Sona Comstar, died in June while playing polo in London. The Delhi High Court is currently hearing the case, with both sides leveling allegations. Further updates on the legal proceedings are expected as the court continues to review evidence, as reported by Bar & Bench.
