Penn Quakers Dominate Marist 28-9 in Final Non-Conference Game
The University of Pennsylvania football team defeated Marist College 28-9 Friday night at Franklin Field, concluding their non-conference schedule with a decisive victory.
The Quakers improved to 3-1 on the season, while Marist fell to 3-3. Penn quarterback Liam O’Brien completed 26 of 40 passes for 335 yards and two touchdowns, with zero interceptions. Senior wide receiver Jared Richardson had a standout performance, recording 15 catches for 190 yards and two touchdowns, bringing his career total to 1,943 yards and moving him to sixth in program history. This win marks Penn’s first night game victory at Franklin Field since 2016, breaking a six-game losing streak and potentially setting a positive tone for their upcoming Ivy League schedule.
Penn’s running game contributed 128 yards and two touchdowns, led by Julien Stokes’ 59 yards on 13 carries. Defensively, linebackers John Lista and Ryan O’Connell each recorded a sack.
