Puerto de Sagunto residents and visitors have a new destination for holiday shopping and festivities. A christmas market opened this week in the Triángulo Umbral area, aiming to provide a seasonal economic boost for local businesses-nearly 60% of the forty vendors are from the region. The market, which runs daily through December 23rd, offers a range of goods alongside children’s entertainment and appearances by Santa Claus.

A Christmas market is now open to the public in the Triángulo Umbral area of Puerto de Sagunto, following an inauguration event attended by local council members. Approximately 60% of the roughly forty vendors participating in the market are local businesses, providing a boost to the regional economy during the holiday season.

The market will operate daily from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM and again from 4:30 PM to 9:00 PM, remaining open through Tuesday, December 23rd. Shoppers can expect a diverse selection of seasonal food items, handcrafted goods, gifts, and toys. The market will also feature appearances by Santa Claus and a range of children’s entertainment.

Natalia Antonino, the council member for Commerce and Markets, encouraged residents to visit the Christmas market. “Support local commerce through the consumption of the varied offer of Christmas products” available at the stalls, she said. The market’s focus on local vendors underscores a broader trend of supporting small businesses during the crucial holiday shopping period.
