Multiple School Buses Crash in Chicago, Students Injured
Several students were minorly injured this morning when multiple school buses collided in Chicago’s Hyde Park neighborhood.
The crash occurred near the intersection of Midway Plaisance and Dorchester Avenue. Students from Orland School District 135 were among those involved, according to district representative Allison Kaleta. “We know this news can be concerning for families, and we want to assure our community that all students are receiving the care and attention they need,” Kaleta said. “Our staff and first responders responded quickly and with great care, and we are deeply grateful for their support.”
District officials have contacted the families of the students involved, and those needing medical attention are currently being treated. The incident highlights the ongoing concerns surrounding school bus safety and the importance of preventative measures. Other students have safely returned to school.
