Spotify’s annual Wrapped feature has once again become a cultural touchstone, offering a personalized look back at the year’s listening habits. Released on Wednesday, december 4th,the data reveals that Bad Bunny remains a dominant force in music, topping global streaming charts for the year. The Puerto Rican superstar’s success, fueled by his latest album ‘DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS’ and a highly prosperous tour, culminates in a planned headlining performance at the Super Bowl in 2026.

It’s that time of year again when social media feeds are flooded with everyone’s musical tastes. From celebrities to everyday listeners, people are sharing their Spotify Wrapped summaries – a breakdown of songs and artists that analyzes listening habits and engagement with music. The year-end feature has become a cultural phenomenon.

Since its release on Wednesday, December 4th, many have already discovered their stats (and likely shared them on their Instagram Stories). For a significant number of users, Bad Bunny appears at the top of their “Top Artists” list.

The success of his album ‘DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS’ con son puertorriqueño has propelled him to new heights, earning him Album of the Year at the Latin Grammys and a sold-out concert tour. Now, Spotify data confirms he’s the most streamed artist of the year globally.

This isn’t the first time Bad Bunny has dominated the charts; his songs were also the most streamed between 2020 and 2022. It’s no surprise he was chosen to headline the Super Bowl 2026 halftime show, despite attempts by Donald Trump to boycott the performance, which was seen as a powerful statement in the current political climate.

Spotify Wrapped 2025: Top Artists

Joining Bad Bunny among the most-streamed artists is Taylor Swift. The singer amassed 19.8 billion streams in the last year with her album ‘The Life Of A Showgirl.’ Rounding out the top five are Canadian artist The Weeknd, followed by his compatriot Drake, and American singer Billie Eilish.

In Spain, a familiar face comes in second to the Puerto Rican superstar: Spotify revealed that Quevedo is the most streamed domestic artist.

Bad Bunny dethrones Myke Towers in the Spotify Wrapped 2025, who was the most listened-to artist in the country last year, and now occupies third place, ahead of fellow Spaniard JC Reyes and Beéle.

Following them are Anuel AA, Rauw Alejandro, Mora and Dei V. As with the top 10 artists of 2024, female representation remains limited, with only Karol G appearing in the tenth position, while Aitana was the most streamed female artist domestically.

Top Songs of the Year

Spotify lists ‘Die With A Smile’ by Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars as the most streamed song globally. Spain diverges from this trend, naming ‘La Plena – W Sound 05’ by W Sound, Beéle and Ovy On The Drums as its top track.

Worldwide, ‘Birds of a feather’ by Billie Eilish comes in second, followed by ‘APT.’ by Rosé and Bruno Mars; ‘Ordinary’ by Alex Warren; and, surprisingly, ‘DtMF’ (an acronym for ‘DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS’) by Bad Bunny lands in fifth place.

In Spain, following ‘La Plena,’ ‘Capaz (merengueton)’ by Alleh and Yorghaki takes second place, and ‘VeLDÁ’ by Bad Bunny, Omar Courtz and Dei V is third. ‘Baile inolvidable’ by Bad Bunny is fourth, and ‘mi refe’ by Beéle and Ovy On The Drums, fifth.

Top Albums of 2025

The most streamed albums in Spain on Spotify were, after ‘Debí tirar más fotos,’ ‘Borondo’ by Beéle and ‘Buenas noches’ by Quevedo. ‘La ciudad’ by Alleh and Yorghaki was fourth, and ‘Nacer de nuevo’ by JC Reyes, fifth.

The impact of Rosalía’s ‘Lux’ came perhaps too late to be fully reflected in the 2025 summary. The Catalan artist was the sixth most streamed female artist and was even surpassed abroad, where other Spanish artists had greater listenership.

Rels B was once again the most successful Spanish artist internationally, ahead of Quevedo, Enrique Iglesias, Alejandro Sanz, and Rosalía in fifth place.

Globally, the silver medal for album success went to the unexpected phenomenon of the soundtrack for the Netflix ‘K-Pop Demon Hunters’ film, and to ‘Hit Me Hard And Soft’ by Billie Eilish, which was actually released the previous year.
