Juan Félix Rossetti, a prominent real estate developer known for his work on premium gated communities in the area, announced he has ceased pursuing new residential projects in Funes due to what he described as a lack of ethical and moral standards in the local municipal administration.

Rossetti, who developed the Kentucky, Funes Hills, and initiated the San Marino neighborhoods, made the statement during a radio interview on Radio 2 this morning, April 22, 2026.

He criticized the administration of Mayor Rolvider Antonio Santacrose, aligning his criticism with his own libertarian political views and contrasting it with what he perceives as kirchnerist policies.

When asked if he had ever been solicited for bribes in Funes, Rossetti stated that no one would dare to ask him for a bribe, given the close-knit nature of the community where everyone knows each other.

The developer emphasized that his decision to step back from Funes was made approximately ten years ago, and he has since redirected his focus to a project in Rosario, where he believes the provincial and municipal governments are addressing infrastructure service deficits in the area.

Rossetti’s comments highlight ongoing tensions between private developers and local government over urban development practices in the Greater Rosario metropolitan area.
