FromSoftware, the developers behind the blockbuster “Elden Ring” and the notoriously difficult “Dark Souls” series, are reportedly expanding their portfolio with a new multiplayer title, “The Duskbloods.”
Slated for a 2026 release, the game is currently in advancement for the forthcoming Nintendo Switch 2, marking a potentially significant exclusive for the new console. Sources indicate that “The Duskbloods” is being directed by Hidetaka Miyazaki, and the studio is balancing this new project with the release of the “Elden ring: nightreign” DLC, beginning with “The Forsaken Hollows” on December 4th.

According to reports, the game, directed by Hidetaka Miyazaki, could have a larger impact than “Sekiro,” whose posture-based combat system has been widely emulated. However, FromSoftware is prioritizing the completion of the Nightreign DLC for “Elden Ring” before fully shifting its focus to “The Duskbloods.”
The first DLC for the cooperative “Nightreign” expansion, The Forsaken Hollows, is scheduled to launch December 4. A leak from earlier this summer also suggests FromSoftware is simultaneously working on another, currently undisclosed project, potentially a remake or additional content for an existing title.
