California Western Law Review Announces Manuscript Submission Guidelines
San Diego, CA – The California Western Law Review today announced detailed guidelines for unsolicited manuscript submissions, outlining requirements for form, citations, style, and author information.
Manuscripts must be submitted electronically in Microsoft Word, with margins of at least one inch on all sides. All citations are required to conform to The Bluebook: A Uniform System of Citation, a widely-used legal citation style guide. Articles should present original, in-depth analysis of timely legal topics, rather than summaries of existing research.
Submissions should include the author’s full name, academic or professional affiliations, and complete contact information on the title page. Manuscripts can be submitted via Scholastica or email, or mailed to the Executive Lead Articles Editor at 225 Cedar Street, San Diego, CA 92101. The Law Review emphasizes that it assumes no responsibility for returning unsolicited manuscripts unless specifically requested by the author. This rigorous review process ensures the quality of scholarship published by the Review, which often influences legal discourse and practice.
The California Western Law Review also offers opportunities for student involvement, including a student writing program with the potential for publication and a chance to fulfill Scholarly Writing requirements. More information about joining the Law Review can be found here.
The Law Review will evaluate all submissions as expeditiously as possible through a Lead Article Board Review, and authors are asked to disclose any prior publication of their work.
