On Saturday, April 18, 2026, the United Arab Emirates continued its humanitarian support for Palestinians in Gaza through the ongoing “Hamid Air Bridge” initiative, delivering 100 tons of essential food supplies from Sharjah International Airport.

The latest shipment, launched under the direction of Sheikh Hamid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council member and Ruler of Ajman, forms part of the broader “Faris Al Shamm 3” humanitarian operation, which has now delivered over 122,000 tons of aid to Gaza since its inception.

According to official figures shared by Emirati humanitarian coordinators, the total value of UAE assistance has surpassed $3 billion, encompassing food, medical supplies, and infrastructure support including six desalination plants providing daily water to the region.

The operation too includes a field hospital and a floating medical facility with a capacity of 100 beds, currently receiving patients from Gaza. Recent reports indicate the floating hospital in Arish has admitted seven new cases from the besieged territory.

Officials emphasized that the UAE’s commitment remains steadfast, with ongoing coordination between air, land, and sea corridors to ensure uninterrupted aid flow amid the protracted crisis.

The initiative underscores the Emirates’ sustained role in regional humanitarian efforts, particularly in addressing the deteriorating living conditions in Gaza through measurable, large-scale intervention.
