White Sox Name Zach Bove as New Pitching Coach
The Chicago White Sox announced yesterday the hiring of Zach Bove as their new pitching coach, tasked with revitalizing a staff that struggled throughout the 2025 season.
Bove, 37, joins the White Sox after three seasons as an assistant pitching coach with the Kansas City Royals, where the team posted a 3.73 ERA this past season – sixth best in Major League Baseball. Prior to his time in Kansas City, he spent four years (2019-2022) in the Minnesota Twins organization, working in various minor league coaching roles. He replaces Ethan Katz, whose contract was not renewed following five seasons with the organization.
The White Sox pitching staff finished the 2025 season with a team ERA of 4.82, contributing to the team’s 60-102 record – their third consecutive 100-loss season.
