Bobcats Host Norsemen in Only October Home Series
The Bismarck Bobcats will return to home ice this weekend to face the St. Cloud Norsemen, marking their only home series for the month of October.
Last season, the Bobcats dominated the series against the Norsemen, going 6-1-1 overall, including a 3-1-0 record at the VFW Sports Center. A particularly decisive victory occurred on January 3rd, when Bismarck defeated St. Cloud 8-0 – the Bobcats’ largest margin of victory last season. This weekend’s games could prove crucial as teams jockey for position in the Central Division standings.
Several players are entering the series with strong recent performances. Bobcats forward Cooper Williams recorded a five-point weekend (3 goals, 2 assists) and currently ranks second on the team with eight points and leads in goals with five. Eddie Revenig leads the Bobcats in total points with nine, all from assists. For the Norsemen, Bronson Hunt and Alex Sandhu are tied with nine points each, while Gabriel Bugeaud and Sam Crane share the team lead in goals with four apiece. The Bobcats are coming off a successful weekend sweep of the Minnesota Mallards, which propelled them from fifth to fourth place in the Central Division. Conversely, the Norsemen were swept by the Aberdeen Wings, dropping them from third to fifth in the division.
