Central Arkansas’ Valeria Ramirez Named ASUN Women’s Golfer of the Week

Central Arkansas golfer Valeria Ramirez has been recognized as the ASUN Conference Women’s Golfer of the Week following a strong performance at The Judson tournament.

The Bears competed in The Judson at the Hattiesburg Country Club in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, on October 27th and 28th, finishing third overall with a score of +2, recording 170 pars and 42 birdies. Ramirez led the team, finishing third individually with a -4 score for the tournament. She excelled on par 4s, averaging 3.8, and made 10 birdies throughout the event, carding rounds of even par, -2, and -2. This recognition highlights the growing competitiveness of women’s collegiate golf within the ASUN Conference.

Head Coach Summar Roachell praised Ramirez’s performance, stating, “I am very proud of Valeria and her performance this week. From start to finish she was in complete control. She has battled all season and this week all the intentional work came together. I know this performance will keep her motivated into the off season and show her that all the work she has been putting in is worth it!” You can find more information about the ASUN Conference on their official website.

The Judson marked the conclusion of the Bears’ fall season. Central Arkansas is scheduled to participate in six events in the spring, culminating in the ASUN Championship in Dothan, Alabama, from April 17-19. UCA Bears Women’s Golf will use the off-season to prepare for a competitive spring schedule.
