Universities South Africa Announces Opening for Administrative Officer & PA to Director of Entrepreneurship

Universities South Africa (USAf) is accepting applications for a fixed-term contract position for an Administrative Officer and Personal Assistant to the Director of Entrepreneurship, with a closing date of November 21, 2025.

Based in Pretoria, the role will support the Entrepreneurship Development in Higher Education (EDHE) programme, an initiative focused on fostering entrepreneurship and innovation within South African universities. The position requires a diploma or equivalent qualification in Business Administration or a related field, alongside at least two years of administrative experience, including one year supporting a senior manager. Candidates should demonstrate strong organizational skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, and excellent communication abilities.

Key responsibilities include managing office functions, coordinating travel, maintaining schedules, liaising with stakeholders, and providing comprehensive support to the Director of Entrepreneurship. Successful candidates will also be involved in the planning and execution of meetings, workshops, and events, both virtual and in-person. This role is crucial as South Africa looks to bolster its entrepreneurial ecosystem through higher education, aiming to create more startups and economic opportunities.
