Amazfit T-Rex 3 Pro Receives New Software Update with Battery & Route Planning Improvements
Amazfit is rolling out software update 3.3.1.8 for the T-Rex 3 Pro smartwatch, bringing enhancements to battery monitoring, route planning, and image notifications.
The update, reported by users on Reddit today, improves the Terrain Map app’s route planning feature, making it faster and more reliable, and optimizes the altitude algorithm for Outdoor Cycling activities. Users can now also enlarge images within the Notification Center simply by tapping on them. This update follows a previous release at the end of September, which focused on integrations with fitness platforms like Intervals.icu and Training Peaks.
Significant changes center around battery management, with Zepp Coach now checking battery levels before workouts and providing warnings if needed, as well as displaying the current battery percentage directly within the workout app. New vibration feedback has also been added when unlocking the watch during exercise. Smartwatches are increasingly relied upon for accurate fitness tracking, making battery life and reliable data crucial for users.
