Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced launches July 9 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Ubisoft Store, Steam, and Epic Games Store.
The remake of Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag arrives as a faithfully enhanced experience built from the ground up in the latest Anvil engine, featuring ray tracing, Dolby Atmos, seamless environments, and dynamic weather effects.
Players will once again sail the Caribbean as Edward Kenway during the Golden Age of Piracy, with upgraded gameplay, smoother stealth and parkour, and rebuilt combat emphasizing parries and takedowns.
Naval mechanics have been enhanced with new alternate fire modes, and quality-of-life improvements address previous pain points across both land and sea gameplay.
The Resynced edition expands on the original story with exclusive new content, including storylines for fan-favorite characters like Blackbeard and Stede Bonnet, three new officers joining the main narrative, additional sea shanties, pets, and a photo mode.
Pre-orders are available now in Standard and Deluxe editions, with both including the exclusive “Blackbeard’s Crimson Pack” featuring a costume, sword, and pistol for Edward Kenway.
The Deluxe Edition adds “The Master Assassin Character Pack” and “The Master Assassin Naval Pack,” offering cosmetic and functional upgrades for the protagonist and the Jackdaw.
Ubisoft Quebec leads development on the project, aiming to recreate the magic of the original 2013 launch for current-generation hardware while introducing meaningful enhancements for longtime fans and newcomers alike.
The release coincides with the continued evolution of Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed franchise, demonstrating the studio’s commitment to revitalizing beloved titles with modern technology and expanded narratives.
