Bogotá is experiencing disruptions on December 1, 2025, as protests and roadblocks have emerged along 26th Street heading west. The unrest stems largely from demonstrations by students at the District University, who are voicing opposition to the recently appointed rector, Jorge Lizcano.

The city’s Mobility Secretariat is monitoring the situation closely and working to guide drivers around congested areas, according to officials. The protests come as the city implements a driving restriction policy, limiting which vehicles can circulate on certain days.
