Bogotá’s vehicle restriction policy, known as “pico y placa,” will be in effect Thursday, November 20, according to the city’s Mobility Secretariat.

  • Private vehicles: Vehicles with license plates ending in 6, 7, 8, 9, and 0 are permitted to circulate.
  • Taxis: Vehicles with license plates ending in 1, 2, 3, 4, 7, 8, 9, and 0 are permitted to circulate.
  • Restriction hours for private vehicles are 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., and for taxis from 5:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Drivers who wish to be exempt from the restriction can register on the Secretaría Distrital de Movilidad website and learn about the Pico y Placa Solidario program, which allows drivers to pay a fee to use their vehicles without restriction.
