Danse avec les stars welcomed a new judge to the panel this Friday, as former Belgian dance instructor and Star Academy alum Malika Benjelloun joined Fauve Hautot, Mel Charlot, Chris Marques and Jean-Marc Généreux to offer her expertise on the competing couples’ performances.

However, one couple was unable to perform for the five dance professionals. Julien Lieb was forced to withdraw from this week’s competition due to an injury. “Julien unfortunately was injured all week with Elsa. He will not be dancing tonight and is exempt from the quickstep,” host Camille Combal announced on the show. “He can sing but dancing is impossible for him.”

The news comes as the popular French celebrity dance competition continues to draw viewers with its blend of star power and impressive choreography. Lieb explained the situation further, stating, “I could have stopped. But everything is fine, I will be able to do the rest of the adventure 90% sure.” The unexpected development adds a layer of drama to the show, as fans now await updates on Lieb’s recovery and potential return to the dance floor. The competition continues to heat up as the remaining contestants vie for the coveted title.
