Hungarian singer Delhusa Gjon is reflecting on the surprising beginnings of his decade-long relationship with his partner, Fanni. The couple’s story, which began when Fanni was just 18 years old, highlights an unconventional connection that continues to thrive despite a significant age gap.
According to reports, Fanni, a competitive swimmer from Győr, made a spontaneous decision to relocate and be with Gjon. “Fanni was a competitive swimmer in Győr, and she was eighteen years old when she suddenly decided to move here,” Gjon shared, expressing his own surprise at the time. “I was the most surprised. We experience so much together – peace, quiet, and tranquility characterize our relationship.”
The 72-year-old singer acknowledged the initial reservations he had about the 44-year age difference, but emphasized the strong connection they share. “Despite being 44 years older than my love, we work wonderfully together, even though I had my doubts at first,” he said. He likewise noted a pattern in his social circle, stating, “It’s strange, because our friends are the same… we inevitably attract unconventional couples. My son’s partner is also much older, and a large age difference is common among my friends.”
Gjon revealed that Fanni was the one who initially showed interest, having spotted him on the television show Celeb vagyok, ments ki innen! (I’m a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here!), where he served as a judge. “She practically grew up among athletes, yet she chose me,” he remarked. “She wrote to me on iWiW, and it turned out she had always been a fan of my music. After a while, I felt that this was more than just fandom, and I dared to believe her advances were genuine.”
The singer described their life together as active and fulfilling, enjoying time at their horse farm in the Pilis region and taking motorcycle rides.
