Mississippi State Volleyball Falls to Oklahoma in Straight Sets

NORMAN, Okla. — The Mississippi State volleyball team suffered a straight-set defeat against Oklahoma yesterday evening, November 6, 2024.

The Bulldogs concluded the match with scores of 25-17, 25-19, and 25-14, moving their season record to 15-7 overall and 5-7 within conference play. Lindsey Mangelson led Mississippi State with 11 kills and 11 points, closely followed by Gha’Naye Whitfield-Moss, who recorded nine kills and 10 points. Whitfield-Moss also boasted the highest hitting percentage of the match at .353.

Defensively, McKenna Yates and Mary Neal each reached double-digit digs with 11 and 10 respectively, while Cayley Hanson contributed 28 assists and two service aces.
