This update, rolling out via the Galaxy Store, allows users to enhance selfies and pet photos with AI-powered suggestions, further blurring the lines between smartphone photography and advanced image manipulation.
Samsung Galaxy AI users now have access to Google’s artificial intelligence tool, Nano Banana, directly within the Now Brief feature. The integration allows users to automatically generate AI-edited versions of selfies and photos of pets pulled from their device’s gallery.
The feature provides pre-defined editing suggestions that leverage AI processing to transform the original image. To enable this capability, users must update the Personal Data Intelligence application via the Galaxy Store and then activate the “create images with Nano Banana” option within the Now Brief settings, under the “Content to include” section.
Now Brief’s “Memories” summary receives a daily, randomized selection of images for processing. This ensures a consistent schedule for the automatic updates. This collaboration marks the latest expansion of AI capabilities on Samsung devices through partnerships with specialized Google tools. The integration underscores the growing trend of embedding AI directly into everyday smartphone features.
