GWM Tank 400: Specs & First Look at the Chinese SUV

In China, the vehicle offers a 2.0 engine with two electric motors that together deliver 408 horsepower and 76.5 kilograms of torque. The transmission is a nine-speed automatic, and during a test drive last year, acceleration from zero to 100 km/h was recorded at 7 seconds.

The SUV’s 37.1 kWh battery provides a fully electric range of 105 km and a combined range of 800 km using both the motors. Fuel consumption is around 10 km/l on gasoline, considering the SUV’s nearly 2.8-ton weight.

The Tank 400 is slightly larger than the 300, measuring 4.98 meters in length compared to 4.75 meters. Its width is 1.96 meters, height 1.90 meters, and wheelbase 2.85 meters. The trunk offers 566 liters of cargo space.

The vehicle’s exterior design features striking and robust lines, presenting a stylish and futuristic aesthetic suited for adventurous driving. It is equipped with full LED headlights, and the side-opening tailgate incorporates a spare tire with branded identification.
