Central New York Golfers Celebrate Rare Achievements as Season Ends

Several Central New York golfers recently achieved remarkable feats on the course, including multiple holes-in-one and a golfer matching his age, marking a successful end to the 2024 season.

Norm Bellamy recorded a hole-in-one on October 25th at Greenview, landing a shot from 180 yards out on the par 3, No. 15 hole using a driver. Witnesses to the impressive shot included Rich Shaler, Keith Sturley, and Harry Howlett. Earlier in the month, on October 6th, Tim Carter achieved a hole-in-one at Arrowhead, sinking a 150-yard shot on the No. 8 hole with a 7-iron, witnessed by Bill Carter. These rare accomplishments are highly sought after by golfers of all skill levels.

Beyond the holes-in-one, William Nash, age 83, shot his age on October 29th at Rogues Roost West, playing from the Gold Tees. Dan Porter and Paul Quinn witnessed Nash’s impressive round. Achieving this milestone demonstrates exceptional skill and consistency, and is a significant accomplishment for any golfer.
