South Dakota High School Volleyball: Harrisburg, Chester, and Dell Rapids Secure Key Wins
Top-ranked volleyball teams across South Dakota achieved significant victories yesterday, October 28, 2025, solidifying their positions as contenders for state championships.
In Class AA action, Harrisburg defeated O’Gorman 3-1, extending their winning streak to 18 games. Gabi Zachariasen led the Tigers with 21 kills, trading powerful plays with O’Gorman’s Lauren Venenga throughout the match. This win further establishes Harrisburg as a dominant force in the Class AA bracket, potentially setting up a highly anticipated playoff run.
Chester, the top team in Class B, continued their impressive season with a 3-0 sweep of Bridgewater-Emery. Lily Van Hal and Jacy Wolf spearheaded the Flyers’ attack, contributing 12 and 11 kills respectively, bringing their overall record to 26-1.
