Jakarta, The Indonesian stock market experienced a downturn in morning trading on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, as investors engaged in broad-based selling activity.

The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) closed the morning session down 0.75%, or 64.43 points, at 8,505.82. Trading saw 285 stocks advance, 352 decline, and 170 remain unchanged. Total transaction value reached Rp16.73 trillion (approximately $1.06 billion USD), involving 33.19 billion shares across 1.54 million transactions.

According to Refinitiv data, nearly all sectors ended the session in negative territory, with the exception of healthcare, which rose 2.17%. The utilities and property sectors saw the steepest declines, falling 2.65% and 2.55% respectively. This sector weakness reflects ongoing concerns about regulatory changes and economic headwinds.

Throughout the trading day, foreign investors recorded net sales of Rp1.8 trillion (approximately $114 million USD) across the market, with Rp5 trillion in foreign sell orders and Rp3.2 trillion in foreign buy orders.
