Kinnelon Defeats Dover in Girls Soccer Tournament Opener

Freshman Anika Maksimov had a hat trick to help give 10-seeded Kinnelon a 6-0 victory over 23-seeded Dover in the first round of the Morris County Tournament in Kinnelon.

Freshmen Amelia Giue, and junior Bella Vuturo scored their first varsity goals for Kinnelon (6-4).

Taylor Mulch contributed a goal and an assist, and Kelly Donalson made two saves to complete the shutout win.

Kinnelon took a 3-0 lead into halftime before adding three goals in the second half.

Dover falls to 5-5.

Kinnelon will face seventh-seeded Montville in the second round.
