Bad Company’s Paul Rodgers Will Not Perform at 2025 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction
Paul Rodgers, the legendary frontman of Bad Company, announced today he will not participate in the band’s 2025 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony due to health concerns.
Rodgers shared the news on the band’s official X page, stating, “My hope was to be at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony and to perform for the fans, but at this time I have to prioritize my health.” He clarified that his ability to sing is not the issue, but rather “the stress of everything else.” The announcement comes as Bad Company is set to be inducted alongside a celebrated class of artists.
The 2025 Rock Hall class also includes The White Stripes, Chubby Checker, Joe Cocker, Cyndi Lauper, Soundgarden, and Outkast, representing a diverse range of musical genres and influences. Salt-N-Pepa and the late Warren Zevon will receive the Musical Influence Award, while Thom Bell, Nicky Hopkins, and Carol Kaye will be honored with the Musical Excellence Award. This induction recognizes Bad Company’s significant contributions to rock music, particularly their string of hits in the 1970s, and their lasting impact on the genre.
Rodgers did not disclose specific details regarding his health, and further updates are not expected at this time. Representatives for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame have not yet commented on how Rodgers’ absence will affect the ceremony, which is scheduled to take place in November.
