Wasiluk Considering Move to Legia? “More Tempting”

According to Roman Kołtoń, writing on X, former player and respected football analyst Marek Wasiluk is also being considered to join Papszun’s staff. Wasiluk has been a familiar face to fans through his work with Viaplay and TVP Sport.

“I’m hearing that Marek Wasiluk – with whom I’ve recently had the pleasure of discussing the game on shows like Cafe Futbol on Polsat Sport – will be bolstering Marek Papszun’s staff at Legia Warszawa. It appears the pitch is proving more appealing to Marek than the studio, after he previously worked as a coach with the youth teams at Jagiellonia,” Kołtoń wrote.

Wasiluk is currently completing his UEFA PRO coaching license. Papszun has a reputation for innovative thinking, and the move for the 38-year-old appears to reflect that approach. Wasiluk’s extensive football knowledge could prove to be a valuable asset.

Trials with Legia and Championship with Śląsk Wrocław

Interestingly, Wasiluk had a trial with Legia Warszawa back in 2006, but ultimately didn’t secure a contract. He spent a significant portion of his playing career with Jagiellonia Białystok (2005-2008 and 2014-2018), where he twice finished as the league runner-up.

He also played for clubs including Cracovia, Śląsk Wrocław, and Widzew Łódź. Wasiluk was part of the Śląsk Wrocław team that won the Polish championship in the 2011/12 season.
