Los Angeles Man Assaulted in Road Rage Incident Near Baldwin Hills
Los Angeles police are investigating a violent road rage attack near Baldwin Hills yesterday, October 7, 2025, where a man was pulled from his vehicle and beaten by another driver.
The victim, identified as Adam Berry, stated the incident began on La Cienega Boulevard when he passed a slow-moving work truck towing a Toyota Camry. “It was going slow, but there are three lanes, so I went around him,” Berry said. “No honking. Nothing.” According to Berry, the other driver subsequently confronted him a half-mile down the road, yelling expletives and making anti-gay slurs after Berry rolled down his window. Berry attempted to drive away, stopping at the intersection of La Cienega and Obama Boulevard, believing he had evaded the other driver.
However, Berry reported the suspect then kicked in his driver’s side mirror, opened the car door, and pulled him out, proceeding to assault him while other drivers watched. “All lanes of cars were stopped,” Berry said. “Everyone’s just sitting there watching. No one really got out, as far as I could see.” He further stated that while attempting to photograph the suspect and his license plate for police, he was struck three more times in the head. Fortunately, the suspect became stuck in traffic, allowing Berry to capture an image of the man and his vehicle information. Road rage incidents are a growing concern nationwide, with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration offering resources on safe driving practices.
Paramedics transported Berry to a local hospital for treatment of a gash to his chin and bruises to his forehead. The Los Angeles Police Department has filed a felony battery report and is actively searching for the suspect. This incident highlights the potential for escalating conflict on roadways and the importance of de-escalation techniques, as detailed in resources from the AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety.
Police continue their investigation and are urging anyone with information to come forward.
