Eight Premier League Stars Nominated for October Player of the Month
Fans have until Monday to vote for the EA SPORTS Player of the Month, with eight standout performers nominated for their contributions throughout October.
The shortlist includes Aston Villa’s Matty Cash, Newcastle United captain Bruno Guimaraes, Manchester City striker Erling Haaland, AFC Bournemouth’s Junior Kroupi, Manchester United forward Bryan Mbeumo, Sunderland defender Nordi Mukiele, Brentford’s Igor Thiago, and Arsenal right-back Jurrien Timber. Cash enjoyed a remarkable month, scoring the winning goal against Manchester City, ending their nine-match unbeaten streak. Haaland leads the league with 11 goals this season after netting three in October, while Mbeumo was instrumental in Manchester United’s perfect month, contributing to four goals.
Kroupi, at just 19 years old, made a significant impact for Bournemouth with three goals in two appearances, and Thiago is hot on Haaland’s heels in the Golden Boot race with six goals. Sunderland’s Mukiele was key to their strong defensive form, and Timber helped Arsenal maintain a perfect record in London derbies. This award recognizes individual brilliance within a highly competitive league, and the winner will likely gain further recognition as the season progresses.
Voting is open on the EA SPORTS website until 12:00 GMT on November 3, with the winner announced next week. Previous winners this season include Jack Grealish for August and Erling Haaland for September, according to the official Premier League website.
The combined votes of fans and a panel of football experts will determine the winner.
