Xiaomi is expanding it’s popular POCO line with the new F8 Pro, targeting global markets with a focus on high-end features at competitive prices. The launch demonstrates a continuing industry trend of delivering flagship-level specifications without the typical premium cost, a strategy POCO has successfully employed as its inception. The F8 Pro boasts a powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite processor and a robust camera system, positioning it as a strong contender in the mid-to-high range smartphone segment. Xiaomi has officially unveiled its all-new Poco F8 Pro series to global markets. The Poco line, a key offering under Xiaomi’s POCO sub-brand, is designed to compete across a wide range of international markets by prioritizing high-end specifications at competitive price points. The launch underscores the ongoing trend of manufacturers delivering flagship-level features without the premium cost.

Poco F8 Pro Specifications

The Poco F8 Pro weighs 199 grams and measures 8 x 75.3 x 157.5 mm. It features a full glass exterior with an aluminum frame and boasts an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance.

The device supports dual 5G SIM cards but does not offer microSD card expansion. It’s equipped with a 6.59-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1156×2510 pixels (FHD+) and a pixel density of 419 ppi. The screen reaches a peak brightness of 3500 nits, a 120Hz refresh rate, and supports HDR10+ and Dolby Vision.

Display protection is provided by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i.

Powering the Poco F8 Pro is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite octa-core processor, featuring Oryon V2 Phoenix L cores clocked at 4.32 GHz. The processor is built on a 3nm process and paired with the Adreno 830 GPU.

Xiaomi’s IceLoop cooling system is integrated to manage thermal performance. The phone runs HyperOS, based on Android 16, and will receive four years of OS updates and six years of security patches.

The device is available with 256GB or 512GB of storage, paired with 12GB of RAM. It utilizes UFS 4.1 storage and LPDDR5X RAM.

For selfies and video calls, the Poco F8 Pro features a 20-megapixel front-facing camera with an f/2.0 aperture, capable of recording 1080p video at 60fps.

The rear camera system is a triple-lens setup. The primary sensor is a 50-megapixel camera with an f/1.9 aperture and Light Fusion 800 sensor, featuring optical image stabilization (OIS). It’s accompanied by a 50-megapixel telephoto lens with an f/2.2 aperture and OIS, offering 2.5x optical zoom, and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens with an f/2.2 aperture.

The rear cameras include an LED flash and support 8K video recording at 30fps, with electronic image stabilization available across all lenses.

The phone does not include a 3.5mm headphone jack. Stereo speakers, tuned by Bose, provide audio output.

The Poco F8 Pro supports NFC and includes an IR Blaster. It features an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor under the display and supports face unlock.

A 6210mAh battery powers the device, supporting 100W Quick Charge 3+ fast charging and 22.5W reverse charging via USB Type-C.

The Poco F8 Pro will be available in black, silver, and blue color options.

The Poco F8 Pro is priced at $530 for the 256GB storage/12GB RAM configuration and $580 for the 512GB storage/12GB RAM version.
