Redmi Watch 6 Announced with New Design and AMOLED Display
Xiaomi has officially unveiled the Redmi Watch 6, featuring a redesigned aesthetic and an upgraded AMOLED display, slated for release in China on October 23, 2025.
The latest iteration of the budget-friendly smartwatch line introduces a new button positioned below the crown on the right side, mirroring the design of recent Apple Watch models. Xiaomi confirmed the Watch 6 will sport a 2.07-inch AMOLED display, consistent with its predecessor, currently available for around $113 on Amazon. The device will be offered in three color options: Bright Moon Silver, Elegant Black, and Mist Blue, with a high-strength aluminum mid-frame designed for durability.
Beyond the design changes, Xiaomi highlights a slim profile and minimal 2mm bezels surrounding the screen. Battery life is expected to remain consistent with the previous model, offering up to 24 hours of runtime. The Redmi Watch 6 builds on the features of earlier models, which included 5-system GNSS and Bluetooth calling capabilities – features increasingly common in affordable smartwatches, expanding access to connected health and communication tools.
Further specifications, including health tracking features and software enhancements, will be detailed at the official launch event in China on October 23rd, alongside the unveiling of the K90 series. For more information on the broader smartwatch market, see Counterpoint Research’s latest report.
Xiaomi officials stated that complete details regarding the Redmi Watch 6’s functionality and pricing will be released during the launch event next week.
Xiaomi has officially introduced the Redmi Watch 6. This line of smartwatches tends to be affordable, and even with budget-friendly price tags, they tend to be full of features. As for the newest smartwatch, per the official pictures, it seems that the company has tweaked the design a bit.
More specifically, Xiaomi appears to have added a new button on the right side, right beneath the crown. This design is more similar to the latest non-Ultra Apple Watch models. Of course, it’s still unclear what functions the new button will be assigned to.
The company has also confirmed that the Redmi Watch 6 will feature a 2.07-inch display, which is the same as the predecessor (curr. $113 on Amazon). With the new teasers, Xiaomi has revealed that it will be an AMOLED panel as well.
Apart from these, the official teasers have revealed that the smartwatch will be available in three color options: Bright Moon Silver, Elegant Black, and Mist Blue. The mid-frame will be of “high-strength aluminum,” which is touted to be sturdy and durable. Xiaomi also highlights that the Redmi Watch 6 will sport a slim and exquisite build. The battery life stays the same as the predecessor, which is up to 24 hours of runtime, and the screen is said to sport 2 mm bezels.
As for the other specs, they are still under wraps, but it’s worth noting that the predecessor came with 5-system GNSS, Bluetooth calling support, and a linear motor for better haptic feedback. More details about the new Watch 6 will be revealed on October 23, 2025, in China, which is also the Chinese launch date for the K90 series.
