Sage Launches $125K Impact Entrepreneurship Program for European Startups
Applications opened today for the Sage Impact Entrepreneurship Program, a multi-year initiative designed to support entrepreneurs developing solutions for environmental and social challenges across Europe and the United States.
The program, now in its second year and run in partnership with Sage Foundation and Village Capital, will provide grants, mentorship, and training to 12 early-stage startups based in the UK, France, Germany, Portugal, and Spain through its Annual Core Cohort. An additional 15 startups will join a Community Cohort with access to digital resources and increased visibility. This initiative comes as investment in climate tech and sustainable businesses continues to grow globally.
Core Cohort startups will receive $10,000 in grant capital, with an additional $50,000 and $25,000 awarded to the top two peer-selected ventures at the program’s conclusion. All participating companies will benefit from workshops, one-on-one coaching, and access to potential investors and strategic partners. Eligibility requires legal incorporation as a for-profit entity, an MVP, and less than $1.5 million in equity raised, with a focus on solutions addressing verticals like clean energy, sustainable agriculture, and climate resilience. Applications are due January 5, 2026, and selected startups will receive two years of post-program support. Officials stated the program aims to foster a community of visionary leaders driving systemic change through innovation and collaboration.
