- Českému e-shopu Smarty.cz unikly předpokládané ceny očekávaného Steam Machine
- Za nižší paměťovou variantu si budete muset přichystat takřka 24 tisíc korun
- Valve by mělo ceny oficiálně zveřejnit na jaře letošního roku
Valve’s long-awaited Steam Machine is shaping up to be a premium product, if recent pricing leaks prove accurate. An online Czech retailer, Smarty.cz, inadvertently published potential pricing details for the device, sparking discussion among gamers about the cost of entry for Valve’s ambitious hardware project. The Steam Machine aims to bridge the gap between PC gaming and console simplicity, offering a high-performance experience within a streamlined package.

The leaked pricing suggests the Steam Machine won’t be a budget-friendly option. According to the information pulled from Smarty.cz’s website, the model with 512GB of storage is expected to retail for 23,990 Czech Koruna (approximately $1,035 USD). A higher-capacity version, equipped with 2TB of storage, is listed at 26,990 Koruna (around $1,165 USD). The pricing details were discovered within the source code of a product page on the retailer’s site, indicating the information wasn’t officially published.

Alongside the Steam Machine, pricing for other Valve peripherals also surfaced in the leak. The Steam Controller is reportedly priced at 4,990 Koruna (approximately $215 USD), while the Steam Frame headset is listed at 17,990 Koruna (around $775 USD). However, pricing for the Steam Controller differs from what Smarty.cz originally listed in its code, which indicated a price of 1,990 Koruna (approximately $86 USD). This discrepancy adds to the uncertainty surrounding the leaked figures.
The potential price point places the Steam Machine significantly above current-generation consoles. For comparison, the Nintendo Switch 2 is available for around 12,289 Koruna (see here), the digital edition of the PlayStation 5 Slim retails for approximately 12,389 Koruna (more details), and the Xbox Series X is available for around 17,690 Koruna (find it here). This higher price could reflect the Steam Machine’s focus on PC-level performance and customization.
Valve has not yet confirmed the accuracy of these prices. The company typically sells its hardware directly through its own store, and it’s possible Smarty.cz created the product pages speculatively, without intending to actually sell the devices. However, given that Smarty.cz already carries the Steam Deck, the leaked pricing cannot be entirely dismissed.
