University of Kentucky Basketball Hosts Family Day, Mark Pope Meets with Fans
University of Kentucky basketball held a Family Day event at Rupp Arena yesterday, October 29, 2025, allowing families of players, coaches, and staff to observe a team practice and meet new head coach Mark Pope.
The event included a press conference with Coach Pope followed by a team practice featuring a 5-on-5 scrimmage open to attendees. Following the practice, Pope reportedly met with the parents of Matt Jones, Karen and Larry, on the Rupp Arena floor. This event signals a continued effort by the program to engage with the passionate fanbase known as the Big Blue Nation.
