Team Cherry recently confirmed they are currently working on downloadable content (DLC) for Silksong, though a release date remains uncertain. According to a Bloomberg interview with co-founders Ari Gibson and William Pellen, the team initially aimed to avoid “a massive amount of time” on the DLC.
However, they acknowledged that their development philosophy “can sometimes extend our timelines.” The DLC will feature a character who appeared in the game’s trailer but is not yet playable.
When asked if they would attend The Game Awards following the nominations, Pellen responded, “Maybe not.” Gibson added, “We’re a little busy. I think we’re safe this year,” suggesting they might instead prepare a video expressing gratitude should Silksong win GOTY.
