Former Levski coach Velislav Vutov launched a scathing attack on Ludogorets owner Kiril Domuschiev on Tuesday, February 12, 2026.

Vutov’s criticism stemmed from Domuschiev’s recent comments regarding the quality of pitches in the Bulgarian football league. While agreeing that improvements are needed, Vutov questioned the timing of Domuschiev’s remarks, suggesting they came only after Ludogorets’ dominant position at the top of the table was threatened. The league is known for its competitive spirit, and pitch conditions often play a role in match outcomes.

Since he’s saying it, he must be right. I support him. He’s right. My only question is: why now?

Why not a month ago, why not a year ago, when we were first? When things were going well… Why not then? Why exactly now?

I’ll tell you why: Since now we’re going to not finish first. We’re putting pressure on things here so that others can secure by. The referees! So that the referees can get by. Because it’s clear that if you bite Ludogorets even a little, you’re dead. And they’re all ruined! That’s why!”, Vutov exclaimed during his YouTube podcast, Sesame_Liga_Vutsov.
